Purposeful Posies, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides flowers donated by the Wilmington, North Carolina and Bowling Green, Kentucky communities to area hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice patients.
Our Mission
Purposeful Posies is one small effort to reuse something beautiful and share joy and happiness with others. Studies show that flowers can have a profound impact on a persons well-being.
We engage businesses in Flower Connection Workshops
Flower Connection enables businesses to give back to the community by sponsoring bouquet production workshops at their site where employees make the bouquets, choose the care facility and deliver the bouquets. It is a great way to give back to your local community

Without our team of passionate volunteers, we would not be able to provide beautiful bouquets throughout our communities. During the week, our volunteers prepare donated flowers for re-purposing, create beautiful bouquets and make personal deliveries to individuals in hospitals, hospices and health care facilities.
COLLECT: We collect flower arrangements that would normally be thrown away.
ASSEMBLE: We then make new flower arrangements to be enjoyed a second time with the help of volunteers.
DELIVER: We deliver these bouquets to individuals in care facilities who would benefit from the joy that flowers bring
Purposeful Posies is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. When you make a donation, an acknowledgement letter with our tax id number will be sent to you. Please keep a copy of your acknowledgement for your tax records.
